one is a social media site. the other is for art. i find this site to be very convenient for viewing art rather than going through a bunch of retweets and things like that. a neat repository of work i guess you could say.
newgrounds doesn't compress images either so there's that. while rare in my experience, there have been instances where the colors to something posted get messed up.
no pressure.
with supporter (https://www.newgrounds.com/supporter) you're not only supporting the site but you get some really neat customization options. more emoticons. the dumping grounds, which is useful for sharing work that you don't necessarily want to be too public. username change (one per 30 days). new profile picture shapes. newgrounds ONLY runs ads on A-rated content.

Hey, it depends your viewpoint of Newgrounds and how it functions as a site for content creators of art, movies, game development, audio/music production, and animation. Also, Newgrounds is a good alternative over Twitter where you don't have to deal with bullshit.
